Solving the nappy waste problem
We set to work in 2009 with the goal of helping nurseries be more eco-friendly by recycling their nappy waste. From 2011 to 2013, we sent all of the millions of nappies we collected to the UK’s original nappy recycling plant and since its closure we’ve been diverting as much waste as we possibly can from landfill by working with Energy-from-Waste facilities around the country. With numerous projects now underway to either recycle this waste or convert it into energy, we’re proud to be working on this problem and will always do the best thing we possibly can with your waste

We believe that you are what you do and as well as being good to our world, we want to be good to our customers, suppliers and team members too. Our principles help us to achieve this goal; like ensuring that all team members are paid above real living wage and that all customers receive a fair price for a fair service. We don’t believe in imposing unreasonable contract terms, we don’t have extra charges hidden in small print and our contracts are for 12 months, as we want customers to choose to stay with us rather than be forced to. About us
Green Bottoms was created in 2009 with the goal of helping people find better ways to deal with their disposable nappy waste. Starting in 2011 we delivered millions of nappies from nurseries and households to the UK’s first ever specialist nappy recycling facility and now we’re using nappy waste to create power for homes.

A simple fixed price with no hidden extras, a lockable external bin with a free, unlimited supply of tiger bags and odour-reducing internal bins and sanitary units available if required too

Set your service frequency to weekly, fortnightly or monthly and we collect on schedule to ensure your waste is never overflowing and you stay hygienic and visually appealing
We take care of the important stuff
We dispose of your waste compliantly using the most eco-friendly solution that’s available and you get a free certificate that demonstrates ongoing compliance with your duty of care
Because we’re easy to do business with
Every four weeks we email your invoice and reports, our contracts are flexible if you need to upgrade or remove services and they’re only for 12 months so you’re never tied down
